OUR POLICY

 

Xpress Shipping does not offer marine insurance to private individuals due to over regulation and the difficulties private individuals have in understanding marine insurance, we advise those customers who wish to take out “all risk” insurance cover to contact an insurance broker.

 

We are able to cover for cargo that is lost for a fee. This will increase our limited liability to the value of your cargo as stated on our Increased Liability Scheme Agreement Form.  In the event of an entire package becoming lost, we will compensate you up to the value declared on the Increased Liability Scheme Agreement Form.

 

Our insurance does not cover missing items.  You can only claim if the entire barrel, drum or other small package and the contents are lost. It does not cover individual items missing from a package.

 

You will need to fill out an insurance declaration In order to obtain cover you must sign or email to us, an Increased Liability Scheme Agreement Form before delivering the cargo to us.

 

If your barrel, drum or other small package is lost,  Provided that you filled out an Increased Liability Scheme Agreement Form and you have paid the premium; you can claim up to amount declared on the form for the missing package.

 

If your package has arrived later than expected,  you cannot make a claim. Because it is impossible to guarantee arrival times which means that we are unable to insure against delays. We advise you ship urgent cargo as early as possible.

 

If your package becomes damaged, you cannot make a claim.  You can only claim if the entire barrel, drum or other small package and the contents are lost.
